Maxime and Chris tested the food at Khanna Pena in, Berkeley

In my opinion the food was well prepared but too spicy for kids! I still enjoyed drinking my favorite drink, Mango Lassi. They were nice enough to let us see their clay oven. The restaurant used to be a liquor store. The restaurant is very old and does not look that good on the outside. But, on the inside it is simple and clean. The walls are black with historical pictures of nude men and women. The waiters were also dressed in black. Khanna Pena is a traditional and fancy restaurant.

Spices and pictures of grinders

My favorite spice is cinnamon. I love the smell. Did you know that you can use cinnamon in chicken and vegetable dishes? When you mix cumin, tumeric, cayenne pepper bay leave, cloves, garam masala, and cardamon you obtain a paste known as curry which is at the base of most Indian dishes.
